Helton or Abreu

After reading the post on Sosa or Helton it makes me second guess whether I should keep Abreu or Helton. I'm in a weekly stat league and can only keep three players...they were going to be Pujols,Helton and M.Ordonez. I also have Abreu and Ivan Rodriguez who do you guys recommend??

Take Helton over Abreu without question.

Either or you can't go wrong. If ou are looking to kick butt in Homers, RBI's and Average..then keep Helton. Abreau will hit around .300 and hit 20+, 100 RBI's, and 25-30 steals, and keeping in mind that Ordonez can do all but steal alot(he may steal 10) and so goes with Pujoles, you may want to side with Abreau.

I'll always argue that its easier to get hr's than sb's - especially given a stolen base guy who doesn't hurt you in hr's. Helton a great player but you can get his stats later in the draft.

I feel both positions are kind of deep, I think it depends how many points you gt for SBs, if it more than one take abreu, otherwise take helton.

It's not really a points thing it all deals with totals in this league. Whoever leads in the steals category gets the most points etc....

Since it was me who posted the Helton/Sosa thread, I'll chime in. I would take Helton over Abreu. Abreu is a stud, but not at the level of Helton, I think. Go with Helton.

you must also consider your position in the draft...helton will be valued higher by many league mates, and thus less likely to return to you in the draft...if you have a reasonable hope that you could get abreu back, then certainly keep helton.but, i agree that HRs are easier to come by later then are SBs...so, if your draft position is poor, keep abreu.
