I agree on his swing and body type, but his performance was pretty much like I said. He was late on everything and not really close to making good contact. None of the FB's were that good, in fact I believe the one he K'd on was 91mph and was over the plate to hit. Good looking kid, but he was easily out matched at the plate.

He is 17 years old.

I'm not buying the hype the Mets have given him. Every team overhypes its prospects for obvious reasons. I want to wait and see what he looks like after his first season of proball.

Mets gave him $1.4 million. Supposedly has good bat control. He has been at the Mets' Dominican Academy since he was 16 I believe. Supposedly as Hybrid said he is supposed to be in Low A ball, Hagerstown I think, then they might send him down to rooke ball come that time of year. He has entered the US at age 17, I don't believe there is a rule he had to be 18. Just something dealing with visas I was reading somewhere.
