i dobn't see Soriano going to Boston at all, but unless Vidro goes down in ST or soon thereafter, I don't Soriano staying with the Nats.

Honestly it can get tough to listen to...too much unsubstantiated rumor. The one part I definitely believe is that the Nationals are looking for pitching from the Sox.

Yeah, but what happens to Loretta? They gave up too much for him to just be a bench player, but the Nats obviously don't need him. Hard to say.....

IF they get Soriano and IF he agrees to play OF (LF or RF), that allows the Red Sox much more flexibility in looking for a trade opportunity for Manny.
I am NOT saying that Soriano's bat would be adequate to replace Manny's bat, I am saying that having Soriano's bat makes the loss of Manny's bat more palatable.
