Not really fantasy related but I just watched Bob Costas' "On the Record" interview with Ichiro on HBO. I just had to share this.

It's the first lengthy interview I have seen with Ichiro and it was really refreshing to see someone with a complete respect for the game, his equipment, etc. Did any one happen to catch it?

Anyways, the best part of the interview came when Costas asked him what his favorite American expression was.

After a brief moment of some nervous laughter, Ichiro says (and I quote): "In August, in Kansas City, it is...it's hotter than f***ing rats in a wool sock."

Costas, the translator, and the filming crew just about lost it.

Ichiro, emitting a cool chuckle, reiterates: "That's my favorite." He then adds: "I have bad teammates!"

The guy is very private and reserved but it was totally cool to see him let loose with some humor. Sheds some light on one of the better players in the game today!
