There's already a SS thread like this but I'm personally interested in seeing what 2B looks like and how you're approaching the position in your drafts. Thanks.
I tbink as with any other position it depends on what the needs of your team are. Obviously you want to get one of the big three if you can, Soraino, Utley or Kent. After that, it comes down to whether you want a little speed but sacrifice some average, or take average in someone like Polanco. If I can't get one of the big guns, I just wait on the position and fill out the rest of my team and then take the best player that fits my needs.

I've been generally waiting until the mid to late rounds and grabbing guys like Freel or Ellis. Assuming these guys can both stay healthy, they have a chance of being as good as any 2B outside of the top three. Soriano I simply don't like for this year, esp since my money league counts OBP and and batter K's. Coupled with his middling AVG and new power sapping ballpark, he simply isn't worth a pick before the middle rounds (at least in my league)........ Is anybody else a tad squeemish about Utley? The guy has gone from fantasy irrelevent to the top-rated 2B in one year and he still has yet to play a full season in the bigs. Yet he's often going in the early to mid second round in most leagues and in no draft is he slipping past the 30th pick. The guy has virtually no track record. Perhaps this just illustrates the dearth of talent at the position...........

I think if you can get utley mid 2nd, or soriano late 2nd/early 3rd
Snatch them. If not Guys like polanco, Ellis, Freel are adequate options late. Also in keepers it may be worth a shot to draft Ian Kinsler in the last round as a backup. He wilkl be a stud for years. I LOVE THAT KID AND HIS 20 20 POTENTIAL!!!
