WOW, that WOULD have been awesome!! 'oh, we're too much of a McBusiness to risk our marketshare by taking a chance...'= blech...

I'd kind of have to vote for the Ox though, I downloaded some old who stuff recently and he's got some chops. Paul McCartney is a close second but clearly did not feel obligated to toss any chops out as was more of a song guy than a bass guy.

i remember reading about this as well. i thought they said that he was basically too good for them and yeah, didnt suit their style
