It's amazing how well known Bozzio is throughout the drumming community, yet he's a virtual unknown to most passers by. The work he did with Zappa is amazing and even his 80's work with Missing Persons is quite impressive.

Yup totally agreed. He is amazing live too.
Talking about Bozzio reminded me of Colaiuta. He was quite impressive too. Not to mention Wackerman, who was also nasty.

Drummers, to me, make the band. If the drummer is ridiculously good it doesn't matter if every thing else sucks. Though usually when the drummer is that good so is the talent around him.
I havn't:
Bonham, he also has a bad a$$ solo on Coda called bonzos montreux
Moon - though you really have to see him play to fully appreciate it.
Peart - amazing lyricist too, get exit stage left live DVD and watch YYZ

John Bonham of Led Zeppelin and Keith Moon of the Who.Both awsome drummers,expecially moon the loon.He made the Who.I am not old enough to see the who in their prime as I am only 13
