Last year I finished 3rd in my league and had career years from Chad Cordero, John Patterson, Dan Haren, Varitek, Ensberg and was still more than 20 points out of 1st in a 12 team roto. I decided to stock up on young talent and prepare to win many championships in the next few years. How do you think this team will be for this year? next year? 3 years from now?
12 teams, keep 12, 5X5

C Varitek
1B Ortiz, P. Fielder
2B A. Hill, I. Kinsler
SS B. Crosby, BJ Upton
3B R. Zimmerman
OF Huff, J. Gomes, R. Baldelli, M. Bradley

SP B. Myers, D. Haren, J. Papelbon, J. Bonderman, D. Cabrera, E. Santana
RP C. Cordero, K. Foulke, C. Hansen

Leave a link, I'll help you out

Looks like it lacks a stud pitcher, though i like your staff's potential. You have enough SBs and SVs, so concentrate on getting some more power, as your OF may not get you the power you predict. You look pretty solid right now.

I agree that you should try to find some more power and SP, but I don't quite know how you should go about finding it. Wait til the season starts I suppose and see if you can trade for guys that have bad starts but should even out.

This is a terrible strategy. Never play for next year, expessialy after finishing in the money. Your team is in preaty bad shape for this year. If you are intent on rebuilding (although I am against it) here are some tips:

1: Trade away a stud for two great keepers, who are established and young. These players should have tremendous upside as well. Maybe trade ortiz for a Hafner (almost as good), and a Delmon young.

2: Trade for an injured or a struggling star. Last year some guys included Halladay, Ben sheets, Prior. In one of my leaques I had no shot of finishing in the money, so I traded for Halladay, Gagne, and a struggling Beltran.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

On the WW there is: Tony Clark (30 HR) Jason Lane/Biggio/Gibbons (26 HR) and Luis Gonzalez (24 HR)

If I deal Bonderman and Baldelli/Huff what could I get back to help my offense and not kill my pitching by losing Bonderman? B. Giles, Petitte, Schmidt, Glaus, Floyd and Shelton are all on the trading block but most teams would deal everybody on their team.

Dealt Bonderman Huff Foulke for Lowry Iguchi Edmonds. My updated roster is:

C Varitek
1B Ortiz, P. Fielder
2B A. Hill, I. Kinsler, T. Iguchi
SS B. Crosby, BJ Upton
3B R. Zimmerman
OF Edmonds, J. Gomes, R. Baldelli, M. Bradley

SP B. Myers, D. Haren, J. Papelbon, N. Lowry, D. Cabrera, E. Santana
RP C. Cordero, C. Hansen

Any predictions on how this team is set up for the future?

I like what you're doing...

Fielder is a nice keeper. But how many do you keep in this league?

I agree that your pitching staff needs an ace, too.

I think your team may be decent in a couple years but for this year your likely going to tank. I agree that you should try and trade for some other guys. I like Papelbon and Hansen as I'm a Boston guy. Fielder looks to be pretty good. Overall I say you might have solid team in a little while. Yoiu might try and pick up Jeremy Hermida if hes still available. He will be a solid OF for years to come.
