everything but the 120RBI, more like 110. However he is capable of scoring 120runs.

I'm still contemplating this guy. I think I might let someone else take a chance on him this year. Depends on when he's available.

The only thing to worry about with Beltran is when and to who he gets traded. KC is a great hitter's park and on a different team those steals could drop off.

Pogo makes a great point. In an AL only league you might just want to bid Beltran's services up to cripple other owners' budgets. I'd stay away in a draft league and let someone else take the gamble. He has tremendous potential but I don't think you'll see anywhere near those numbers with KC. He wants out.

I think that it was Gammons who predicted Beltran as a possible 40/40 guy and that he was a dark horse for the MVP. To me, that doesn't seem likely, unless when he is inevitably traded this year, it's to Colorado or Houston.

He is overrated and picks duds every year. He said the Rangers last year were going to be incredible after spending time in their spring training camp last year. Year after year he's full of bogus info. He's the king of fluff info - worthless from a fantasy standpoint. He's even worse when he offers musical suggestions. A genius in his own mind.

Stan,

I think you and other Gammons bashers need to understand something. I notice when he puts out his breakout players, he mentions votes. These votes come from scouts, baseball personnel guys, etc. These aren't just what he thinks. Gammons is a fine writer. His job is not evaluating talent at the major league level. If you check out one of his recent articles, you will see that he is just summing up what the scouts have to say about players.
