after watching espn and reading some online articles about him, i think he would be a wasted pick in any round... who actually thinks he's even gonna play 80games, hit 15-20hrs, 50-60rbis.... not too bad for a very late rounder, but serously.... who wants this cancer on their team???
In real life, people don't want him on your team. In fantasy, I'll take a flier on him in the late rounds if he's there, but I think some owner will take a flier on him earlier than I'm willing reach. I'd take him on my team, sure, but not at the price others I think are willing to pay in my league.

5HRs 10 RBI in about 20 ABs last season. I will take that cancer's stats in the chasing babe ruth year all day. Plus he will still have name based trade value in my league if I want to package him for a pitcher.
I have a hard time believing he shouldn't be in the top 5 rounds. Excellent avg. and HR/ab ratio. On top of that, he is chasing two legends, so he has plenty of motivation. If he only plays 100 games, then have someone ready to come in off the bench, but I think he is golden this year.
maybe your right clefe.... i see the package deal for trade value... but its a tough sell not knowing if you get 04 or 05 bonds... remember: "it's bone to bone"... i think the record is safe from being broken... 100 games for bonds would be a miracle...

i'm pretty sure unit has pitched the last two seasons without cartilage in his knee. its definitely not good, but its not necessarily the end either. bonds has looked good so far this spring. he wont be racing around the outfield but i dont really care about his defense. for some team, the reward will be worth the risk in the 5th or 6th round, although i completely understand if people want to avoid him.

You don't actully have the player on your team, you just get his stats.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
Bottom Line - In any competitive fantasy league, you're going to have to take risks in order to get ahead of the pack. Depending on your league settings, Bonds could end up making the difference between a competitive team and a league champion. If your league counts OBP, you HAVE to take a long, hard look at Bonds in the middle rounds. I'd also say that in H2H hes got mare value than Roto, because you can ride his two big months and find yourself in first, then either trade him high or bench him when he cools off.
If you try visualize yourself winning your league, you'll realize that that wont happen without some gambles paying off. Roll the dice with Bonds? Get lucky and win or get stuck with a 6th round DL-spot. At least one of the possibilities is winning!
