I haven't heard any rumors of a move to 2b, but it's certainly an interesting and plausible idea. Maybe pilambp knows more...

Bobby last played second base as a sophomore in high school. Since then, he's played shortstop. I think he's going to stay there, unless Tejada is re-signed. The As like Mark Ellis a lot, and have a speedster named Esteban German that might push for some playing time.

The Pacific Coast League's regular season is over, and Bobby Crosby has been called up to play with the Big Boys in Oakland. His final stats:

AB: 465
R: 86
HR: 22
RBI: 90
SB: 24
AVG / OBP / SLG: .308/.395/.544

Bobby was also named the PCL's "Rookie of the Year" ( http://www.rivercats.com/doc.asp?ID=1723 ) and was one of three River Cats to be named to the All-PCL Team.

He made his first big league appearance last night, pinch hitting for Erubial Durazo and going 0-1 with a walk.

This will be the last post I'll be doing for this column, be sure to follow his progress as the A's push towards the playoffs.

Time for keeper leaguers to lock him up!

It'll be interesting to see how he does in the bigs...

Just a bump now that Crosby has found his way to the majors this year for good. I wasn't lucky enough to grab him in my AL-Keeper league, but hopefully y'all are!
