Was he just stupid, or did he just simply not care if he got caught? Well actually, either way that's still an idiotic thing to do.

The Blazers need to blow up their roster. I mean, everybody gone! Totally rebuild...

They continually get "Blazers" (haha, get it? :-] )... and "Criminals" (not as funny)...

Their franchise has become a joke. Just redo everything and your franchise/fans will benefit in the long run.
