Hmmm...Reyes, Beltran, Delgado, Wright, Floyd could be nice...I still don't like Beltran batting ahead of a lefty, by the way he was less apt to steal...but I can more write that off to the quad injury.
News: The New York Times reports that Mets manager Willie Randolph said that Carlos Delgado is not locked into the cleanup spot of the batting order.
Analysis: Delgado could bat third a few times this season as Randolph experiments with different combinations. The Mets' offense is expected to be much-improved this season and Delgado is a large reason why. Free agent pickups by the Mets have a negative connotation over the years, but Delgado still lines up as a solid pick in early rounds. He was the 15th overall pick in our NL-only experts draft in February.
No matter where he bats that lineup will be downright deadly.. I think the Mets will represent the NL in the Worlds Series this year. Im going to try to snag at least 2 (hopefully 3) of the bats from the Mets lineup for my fantasy team.. Delgado,Wright,Beltran,Reyes and even Floyd will all have great years IF they can stay healthy...

I love the lineup too - but I hate the ballpark and division.
But Wright is plenty good to overcome those things - he proved that last year. Whether Beltran can do it his 2nd go-round remains to be seen, but I like his chances for a bounce-back. Delgado should still mash 30-35HR, but I'm always wary of guys older than 31.
He also was, if I recall correctly, bounced between 3 and 4 with Cabrera in Fla. last season, had no real affect.
I would think they give Reyes the start at leadoff, see if he has gained a little more patience in taking a couple balls....
I remember games last year that he solely took over....stretching many a double into a triple...easily....and stealing 2 and 3 like it was a joke. If he can learn some discipline...he's a great leadoff batter.
