Apologies if this goes in d/t/k/w, but what kind of positions have you seen Barry go in in your recent drafts? I'd imagine average is about the sixth, though i saw him go in the third in one cafe mock, and got him in the tenth myself in a recent draft. Anyone got higher and lower?

Honestly, I think he comes with a considerable risk. He will be playing LF which will not help his knee that has no cartilage left. He is still hurting and will require plenty of days off.
I think 10th round is about right but based on what I've seen so far, he will likely go much earlier than that. I don't like to take too many chances with my top 7-8 picks wich are the foundation of the team.

I might consider taking him in the 6th even, because the potential payoff is so huge.
But I keep reading his mission is to play in at least 100 games this season, and if that's all he's shooting for... I may skip drafting him all together.
He'd have to drop to like 9th round for me to take him. My first 4 rounds I want solid sure thing hitters, not injury candidates. My 5th round I usually take a solid closer since our league has 4 RP slots. 6-9 I'm looking for good bargains and SP. By 10th round I'm starting to take riskier hitters and solid backend pitchers.

I really don't think he's too much of a risk. He came back last year and in the short time that he played, he still had the mojo going, give or take the rust factor from the long layoff.
I'm convinced that he's healthy enough to put up 1st or 2nd round numbers this year, especially in my OPS and BB league.

I drafted last night and got him in the 7th. I was very happy with that.I wouldn't even mind him playing only a 120 games or so. Bonds playing 120 plus a fill in during his rest days still equals way better than a 7th round pick. So as long as you are on the ball you'll be able to plug in a player during the games Bonds takes off and then get great production from that spot in your order.
