I am looking for songs that are truly your favorite. Songs that you think are the best of the best. Any suggestions?

I also love to remember the "popular" songs of some years that are never heard from again. Any suggestions on those would be appreciated as well.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

A few of my favorites:

"Black", "Release", and "Yellow Ledbetter" by Pearl Jam
"Passive" by APC
"Like a Stone" by Audioslave
"Burn One Down" by Ben Harper
"In This River" by Black Label Society
"So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin (the acoustic version is awesome)

Blue Sky- Allman Brothers
Jessica- Allman Brothers
Comfortably Numb- PInk Floyd
Time- Pink Floyd
Money- Pink Floyd

Those are the first ones that came to my mind...there are many other inredible songs that you should check out...try giving us a little bit about what you want to get into.

For the record...those 2 Allman brother songs are really the closest I can find to perfection. Just close your eyes and listen to Blue Sky...words cannot describe my emotions with that song.

Oh, and someone mentioned Black Lable Society...PLEASE PLEASE check out Zakk Wyldes (BLS guitarist) solo albume called "Book of Shadows" I am listening while I type this...it is one of my top 10 albums of all time. Absolutely brilliant. In ozzy and bls, he plays metal, this album is soft southern acoustic and it is mind numbing

Too many favorites to list.

As to old popular songs, I'll try to dig out some old compilation CD's tomorrow. ;-D
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
