In a Yahoo Public League with 12 teams and 5x5 catagories, what is the ideal number of batters and pitchers?

I don't know that there is a single ideal number.

Also depends on your team's roster size. They can vary.

I ass-u-me you are talking about the 5 bench spots as Yahoo public leagues are setup to have 9 hitters and 7 pitchers unless for some odd reason you want to leave a position empty. So of those 5 bench spots I am ass-u-ming you are asking how should they be filled... hitters vs pitchers. I don't think there is an ideal number of hitters or pitchers you should keep on your bench. Alot of it would have to deal with what your starting lineup looked like. If you thought you were weak in SBs you might want to squirrel away a guy who steals some bases and not much else. If you have a fairly weak 1B, you may want to pickup a decent backup. You'd probably also want a SP or two so you could throw a starting pitcher into your lineup with a more favorable matchup. Just a few examples, but I'd tend to go with 3 of one and 2 of the other, but it all depends on the makeup of your starting lineup. vr, Xei
