This is just a standard yahoo league. 12 teams, H2H...

C- R. Hernandez
1b- Dunn
2b- Cantu
SS- Michael Young
3b-Bill Hall ( not starting for the brewers??? )
OF- J. Bay
OF- Bonds
OF- Jason Lane
Util-Hafner

Bench- Jacque Jones, Dan Johnson, and Luis Gonzalez ( OF, ARI )

SP-Halladay
SP- Webb
SP-Burnett
SP-D. Davis
SP- Livan Hernandez
SP-Josh Towers
SP-Arroyo
RP-Valverde
RP-C. Ray

Seems good, but not great. I dont know if I like Jason Lane in the OF. Might move Dunn to the OF and dan Johnson to 1b, good idea? And what about Bill hall? He isn't starting in MIL, so need to upgrade there. Wilkerson and Gibbons avail on waivers. Should I drop Jones for either. Seo and Jorge Sosa avail for pitchers. Drop arroyo for either? Can I keep three Toronto starting pitchers? Was just offered this trade: eric chavez, sheets, weaver, and mark ellis for Young, Livan, and Burnett. Thoughts on that trade? Barmes is avail at SS on the waiver, but not the player that Young is. My closers? They suck. Thanks for all your input, appreciate it.

Only other closer out there is Rietsma. Worth adding? For who?

About all that is avail for 3b is Inge, Randa, Mueller, Lowell, Blake. Nothing too good. What about Zimmerman? Or Luis Gonzalez ( COL, elig at every infield and OF position )? Either of those guys? Would you just drop Hall for another guy? I think he could be good if given the chance to play every day, and Koskie has to go down at some point. Wouldn't mind keeping hall on the bench.

First off, drop Jacque Jones and pick up Brad Wilkerson. He will be worthy a starting spot this year.

Then, I would trade Michael Young, Livan Hernandez, and AJ Burnett for Eric Chavez, Ben Sheets, Jeff Weaver, and Mark Ellis.

Then pick up Clint Barmes. Drop either Jason Lane or Luis Gonzalez for him, because Ellis will be a solid backup. He qualifies at both 2B and SS and should have a breakout year.

This is a much better looking team:

C- Ramon Hernandez
1b- Adam Dunn
2b- Jorge Cantu
SS- Clint Barmes
3b- Eric Chavez
OF- Jason Bay
OF- Barry Bonds
OF- Brad Wilkerson
Util- Travis Hafner

Bench- 2B/SS Mark Ellis, 1B Dan Johnson, and either OF Jason Lane/Luis Gonzalez

SP- Roy Halladay
SP- Brandon Webb
SP- Jeff Weaver
SP- Doug Davis
SP- Ben Sheets
SP- Josh Towers
SP- Bronson Arroyo
RP- Jose Valverde
RP- Chris Ray

I don't like that trade.

According to last year's numbers:

Sheets<Burnett
Chavez<Young
Weaver>Hernandez

Mark Ellis is a judgement call, I'm not sure whether he'll continue to improve or whether last year was a bit of overachievement.

This is a head to head league, there is value in consistancy and Young is solid. Chavez is not.

I wouldn't fool around with your team too much until the season gets in motion. Remember, there's a reason players are on the WW...no one drafted them!
