If he jumps from his BOS stats to something around .320/25 HRs/ 120 R/ 80 RBIs/ 30 SB's I think Boston's clubhouse will blow a fuse.

What are the chances Damon improves on his stats?

Babe Ruth vs Damon. Hmmm that is a fair comparison.

"Ruth" has four letters. "Damon" starts with the fourth letter in the alphabet.

I'm just getting chills at all the linkages!!!!

or i suppose you could say, what if he turns out like embree? or half a dozen other guys; hasn't steinbrenner hired about 8 of the members of the 2004 Red Sox team onto the yankees so far?

Perhaps they will discover, now that Damon has established himself as the dominant leadoff persona in baseball, that he ALSO can step up to the mound (Ruth backwards as it were) and unveil his 96 mph slider and unhittable cutter that Rivera will teach him and go 18-5, 230K, .9 WHIP and win the AL Cy Young?

I'm sure yankee fans would be satisfied with him being able to throw the ball in the air more than 20 feet. If he could do that he might cut down on the number of guys who score from second on fly balls (which happend on more than one occasion last season).
