The bottom of the Florida lineup will be very weak, but I like the middle guys surrounding M-Cab: Hermida, Jacobs, and Willingham.

A lot of it depends on the guys around him. If Hermida and all them struggle then M-Cab might turn into a mini-barry bonds and get walked every other AB. If that happens he might score a decent amount of runs, but his RBI's and HR will decrease. To answer your qustion though, I would give him a line of .311/93/31/107/4

Todd Helton last year....High AVG, low HR(bad back), low rbi......

He had an entire young lineup, but not as raw as the Marlins this year

Good point! I see Cabrera back to his 35, 115, .300 levels in a year or 2 when the team matures around him, but I think this year he will slip to the 25-28 HR, 90-95 RBI, low .300's level

I think Bay is the better comparison and look at what he did last year with no supporting cast. People are over-estimating the negative impact on Cabrera.

Luciani's Cabrera projection looks to be the highest of the 14 sources I have in my 'averaged projections' spreadsheet. But all of the prognosticators are expecting a pretty good year. Here is an average of what all the sources combined say:
604.9AB / 34.8HR / 2.4SB / 113.3RBI / 102.9R / 0.3134AVG / 0.9546OPS
If you remove Luciani's line the average still predicts a nice year:
603.1/ 34.7HR / 2.4SB / 112.4RBI / 102.8R / 0.3126AVG / 0.9517OPS

Just curious and I know this is a little off the subject...does anyone know if Cab will be playing exclusively at third base or will he get enough at bats in the outfield to still qualify next year in yahoo?
I have Cab and D Wright in a keeper league, as well as pujols and teix so my utl is already filled. Thanks alot.

AFAIK he will be playing exclusively at 3B.

As mentioned, he will be playing 3rd this year. I wouldn't be surprised though if he get a few games in the outfield.

Optimistic projections. I think that's his cieling for the upcoming season. I kind of expect him to have similar numbers to last year with tons of walks.
