1st time roto player - how to improve team?

Hey all,
First time roto player in a 12 team Yahoo public roto 5x5 league. Here's my team so far:

1B J. Thome
2B R. Freel

OF J. Pierre

Util T. Hafner
BN S. Casey
BN L. Castillo
BN D. Dellucci
BN J. Burnitz

SP B. Webb
SP N. Lowry
RP H. Street
RP B. Fuentes
P C. Ray
P J. Blanton
P M. Mussina
BN K. Rogers

My pitching looks thin. In Yahoo Hafner is a util player (no 1B) so I need an extra 1B (Casey) just in case. How do I improve this team? On the WW are:

Hermida
E. Brown
Broussard
Lowell
Chacin
Escobar
Heilman

I would drop Castillo, Burnitz and Dellucci for Escobar, Chacin and Hermida.

You need SP and Escobar and Chacin are solid starters. Hermida is a question mark. But IMO he's worth the gamble.

Short of a 1st starter, I think your pitching looks fairly solid - problem is, no one is going to throw up some gawdy numbers to bolster you when Mussina and Rogers are having off weeks. Many are predicting Chaucin to be down this year, but it may be worht the risk....I wouldnt trade anyone you have for him though... Look on the wire for the likes of Lofton (steals and average) or Encarcion (steals, average and power) or Barmes (probably drafted) or Wilkerson (monter year coming) or Kotchman ( may prove to be steal of draft this year)
As for pitching, Seo in LAD and even Eaton in TX may help you. Almost all are panning Eaton as disaster this year pitching in Arlington, but I believe "they" said the same about Rogers when he went to TX......Food for thought.
Might think to trade one of your bats for some pitching....Any of the ones listed above could provide replacement power for anyone you would lose (except for Young...wouldnt trade him)
