Looking over your scoring system, it doesn't surprise me that pitchers went early...they seem more generally valuable. Consider a pitcher who goes out, pitches 7 innings for 3ER, 2BB, 5K, and a win. He just earned 25 points, and you don't need to be a top 5 pitcher to pull that off. Plus, pitchers sometimes pitch twice in a week! By comparison, only the top couple guys in the league can bat their way to 25 points, and no one will ever bat for 50.
Unfortunately, your pitching seems a little weak. If I were you, I'd probably scrap around for some more relievers. Closers can pick up 10-15 points so quickly and easily that I'd want as many of them on my staff as possible earning me those points simultaneously, only leaving top-notch starters to play regularly.
