I recently joined an ongoing league and counted up the # of pitchers on the rosters at the end of last season.
12 team league 21 players per team.
252 players on rosters at the end of the season
131 of the 252 were pitchers. 52% were pitchers. That seems high to me.
39 of the 131 were RP that seems high to me.
Do these ratios of P's to H's seem normal?
If they do not seem normal what does it mean to me as I assemble my team for this year.

I assume you were playing roto.
At the end of the season, people are getting close to their max innings pitched and the ending rosters is not a good place to look for how to begin your next season. There are also a lot of transactions made to improve in one specific category where they have a chance to catch the person in front of them to earn more points.
Look at your max innings pitched and draft pitchers accordingly.

i guess it depends on how many at each position you could use.
but generally, it makes sense that you have more pitchers because hitters play everyday so you don't need as deep of a bench. starters go every fifth so even in a H2H format, you want to maximize your chances at having a quality, 2-start pitcher.

It makes sense to have more pitchers on the bench since you are playing in a H2H league.
