RATE MY TEAM AND I WILL RATE YOUR TEAM!!!!!

This is a standard Yahoo Public roto league. We had a live draft yesterday, and 10 of 12 managers took part. I'm not sure what to think. I'm definately happy about getting AROD with the second pick. However, I'm not sure if I have enough power. Anyway, please rate my team.

I think it looks pretty good. I dont know how you ended up with Arod, Figgins, and Peavy but your team looks pretty well rounded to me. Goodluck

Yeah... I got Figgins with the #23 pick. Was very happy about that. Peavy I got at #26 in the third round.

I think you need more starting pitching depth. You only have 5 SPs and I'm not sold yet on Towers and Suppan. Another starter with atleast moderate Ks would be a real asset to your team.

You're also carrying 3 bench players, I'd say that's atleast 1 too many.

Your team looks really well rounded to me. I am concerned about your power though, and possibly SP. Arod will help but can only do so much. You have a lot of well rounded guys, which will help your balance, but it wouldn't hurt to drop/trade one for a power-heavy hitter i think. Your SP may be ok, but I'd definitely keep your eyes open on the waver wire.

you got osme good batters to trade. maybe try to swing some type of a 2-1 where your giving up a battter and pitcher for a better pitcher. give it a shot and see what happens ;-D

Hey guys,

Great stuff. I really appreciated the guys who posted a link to their teams. Made it much easier to post back. Anyway, which bats should I give up to upgrade my SP?

You have a pretty good team, but the problem I see is consistency. With the exception of Arod and Matsui, you could say every player on your team is a question mark, even Todd Helton, because of his off year last year. Still, question marks could turn out to be All - Stars, so you just have to see what happens. Yoo have, imo, great pitchers, especially Peavy in the NL Worst, Lee on the resurgent Indians, and a solid bullpen of Street and Nathan. The only person I would get rid of is Benitez; he is about as reliable as an chimpanzee on crack. Trade him and tell the guy he'll get more saves now that Barry is back. Heres my team

I think ur hitting is solid and don't need to upgrade power. in a 12 team public league, that offense should stand up compared to majority of other managers I believe. Closers are great in my opinions. I'm a big fan of benitez this year simply because of the draft position you can get him. considering there are only 30 closers at any given time, having 4 on one team is huge, and they are 4 potentially great ones.

main thing would be pitching I believe, suppan can be ok, but not big fan of towers. He's the type end of rotation of guy that I don't think i'll ever start simply because there will be better options to use up the innings limit. A guy I think might be decent target would be oliver perez, extremely low ranked, but has much higher potential than powers.
