Myers is easily the worst IMO. He was great in April and May last year and was much less effective in the 2nd half. I have Webb first because I think he represents the least amount of risk. Although I think Lackey of Kazmir could out-earn him.

I guess you have to put Myers last on the basis of possibility that he may wind up back in short relief to start the season.

Webb - improved ARI defense will help him immensely. his K/9 is high and GB:FB ratio is ridiculously good.

Kazmir - might piece it all together, and with a good offense, could win a ton of games. will K over 200.
Lackey - don't think he's figured it out. i guess i can't exactly back it up.

All are very close together, I think. Webb over Myers because I think everyone else in the NL west is even worse than last year (possible exception of LAD).

Get out a pen and paper and write this down somwhere: Brett Myers will be the Phillies opening day starter. There is zero chance he goes anywhere near the bullpen.

I think they'll all be around the same tier though and they all aren't that far apart. You'll have a lack of wins from Kazmir though.

Just to be clar on this Brett Myers has NEVER pitched short relief.

Of the 110 games he has participated in he has started 109.
