Auction Draft Strategy Advice...

Does anyone use a specific hitting/pitching ratio in auction drafts that has worked well for them in the past? I am struggling on whether to spend the big money on hitters or pitchers...pitchers can be so hit or miss!

Theres always more bargains at pitcher than hitters. Watch the bidding and look for deals but don't overspend, especially on relievers.

Overspending on relievers is a big no-no. In every auction league Ive been in this year, decent closers are going for $19+...about the same as a very good OF or SP. This isnt something I would recommend since closers are so volatile and offer primarily saves, though help in all other cats outside of wins if you pay enough (think Mo Rivera). What I havent understood in auction leagues that run a 6x6 (OPS, holds) is why top half closers go for $19+ and top notch holdsmen (Shields, Farnsworth, J.Rincon) go for between $5-$8? Not only do these guys offer help in W,ERA,WHip,Holds, but most will pick up a minimum of 6 vulture wins...
