This is my first fantasy team I've ever drafted so let me know what you think.

C - V. Martinez
1B - J. Giambi
2B - C. Utley
3B - C. Jones
SS - M. Tejada
OF - B. Abreu
OF - C. Lee
OF - A. Rowand
Util- B. Roberts
BN - P. Burell
BN - J. Varitek

SP - J. Beckett
SP - M. Morris
RP - M. Rivera
RP - B. Lidge
P - J. Nathan
P - J. Isringhausen
P - E. Gagne
BN - R. Clemens
BN - J. Contreras
BN - D. Haren

I am waiting on a reponse from another manager that would give me Willis for Gagne. Its likely we won't take that but I'm just trying to bait him. He has a very, very weak RP lineup so I'm sure I can get Willis from him somehow with my RP lineup. I think my weak point is my starting rotation. Any advice on who I can sacrifice to make some more trades for solid starting pitchers? Should I offer Varitek and pick up a run-of-the-mill back-up catcher? Should I offer up Lidge or Nathan for a stud SP?

Any advice please!

Your SP is defintely the weakest spot on your team. You have tons of RP to shop around. Also, make it known that Varitek is available. In another weak year at C, you have the top C and one of the arguably top 5. If you can swap him out for a SP I'd do it in a heartbeat. Your offense looks good, so I wouldn't worry about trading off V-Tek.

Very good hitters, but not a lot of speed. Definitely agree with everyone else that you need more SP. You have plenty of saves to burn. I suggest you use them.

Your hitting is good and Relievers are good. You definitly have to trade one of your RP for a SP. After that I think your set.

if you d-train for gagne trade goes through, I'd say you're set to win the league, and hope that brian roberts has a good year. also, trade varitek! find the team with the worst catcher in your league, and get something good from him, theres no need for two of the top three catchers in the league, you can only play one. If you'd rather not, trade brian roberts, most people still think he's gonna have a great year, and get a pitcher, and have tek at Util.

Gagne for D-Train did not go through. I've now got my eyes on Peavey, Sheets, or Zambrano. Should I dish up V-tek or Roberts?

Or should I give up Nathan or Lidge to go after Carpenter or Pedro?

I'm in a 7 team league and I've got offense and all the relievers. The good SP's are scattered through out the league. I think I've got a good shot at any SP with my relievers. Should I aim higher?
