Good, solid team (12 team league?). I'd bench Mark Ellis, move Kent to 1b, and put Chris Shelton in. Shelton could hit a lot of home runs and bat near .300 this year for Detroit. .300/25/90 isn't a bad prediction. Ellis will probably never bat above .310 again, and he doesn't give you much else over Shelton other than runs. But looking at your lineup, runs won't be a problem.


The pitching is really strong though. You might be a little short on Ks if Prior doesn't have a good year.

yea i was planning on puting overbay to 1st, and kent to 2nd

im also trying to acquire kazmir for blanton

There is no doubt in my mind that Shelton will have a better year than Overbay in every single category.

Overbay is in Toronto and there is a log jam at first base with Hinske and Hildebrand. There is no guarantee that overbay will play everyday while Shelton is a stud and will get the ABs

Ok first of all, Overbay WILL be the starting 1B in Toronto, Hinske is just a filler on their lineup, he only started last year because they didn't have anyone else, Hillenbrand will be DH, or just a sub in the late innings. There's no way Toronto will pay Overbay as much as they are paying him and not have him start. He'll have a much better year than he did last year, batting in the same lineup as Troy Glaus and Vernon Wells.
Rest of the lineup is good, I like Matsui and Griffey for power. I'm not really sure why you have Marte on your roster though...I doubt he'll be an everyday player in Cleveland, and even if he is, he's been getting worse the past few years, and a new team isn't going to help that. I like the rotation, Buehrle is a lock, Schmidt is a question mark due to injury problems, Westbrook may end up being awesome, and the same for Blanton. Closers look decent, and way to get Ervin Santana, he's gonna be a stud.

Very nice batters if you move them around like you said, but I don't care for the pitching too much. Quite a few injury risks and question marks and really no stud RP.
