there are so many teams in your league I would find it difficult that many owners pass on him in a keeper league. If it is a new league and just starting he will go by the 4th. If you are redrafting from the leftover pool and for some reason someone didnt make him a keeper he is gonna go in the first round.
I am getting ready to draft for the first year of a keeper league and it is amazing how much higher the young studs move up the rankings. Seems many owners will always go with the young studs in the first three rounds even if it passes over some of the other older vets who are better than them this season.
It's the first year of our league so everybody is available. I'm thinking of taking Peavy/Felix with my first 2 picks (18 & 19) that should set me with SPs for the next 5 years. I'm not sure there will be a bat out there with as much upside.
I think in a keeper league that size, he should be taken way earlier.
I still don't think he will be as lights out in 06 as people are predicting. He also had some injury issues (alhtough minor) in 05. In terms of prospects, I have Liriano ranked slightly ahead of Felix right now. You can get Liriano much later and his upside is just as high due to the fact that he is a hard throwing lefty with pinpoint control on all three of his main pitches.

I know the gutless wonders of the world would rather not take a risk on a young player at #54, but pick 54 is not a risk for the King it is a steal! I would seriously consider using the #36 or even the #18 pick on him. Becaus eI doubt he lasts until #54, he is not your typical youngster.
I agree. Felix won't, and shouldn't last till the 50th pick in a keeper.
Nobody EVER agrees with me especially not HOOTIE. I must be ill. 3 or 4 agreeing with me so far thats crazy.

You are pretty wacky. Heck, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
It always amazes me how much controversy surrounds Hernandez.
