for a 16 team league - if this really is your first time - YOU DID EXCELLENT!

People might log in and say you need help here or here or whatever but I think it's an awesome team.

I play in a sixteen team league (with a few more roster spots) but that team would probably be good enuf to place in the money.

Now that isn't really advice so here goes:
I think you could stand to add a closer - but it is difficult to see what you can give up to acquire one. Someone is probably enamored with griffey - maybe you could give up griffey plus schoenwise? for a closer. There will be an outfielder or two on waivers but probably no closers ever......on the other hand griffey will probably be on waivers in eight weeks when he hits the DL for his season ending injury......

Also - you're going to eventually need to add some SB if you want to strive for balance in all categories....this one is not time critical...maybe wait a couple weeks - and the first of your sleeper guys who start to some some major potential - trade them for a decent SB threat...don't expect to get podsednik or ichiro - But someone like freel or tavares might be acquirable in a trade for kinsler - especially if tavares owner needs a middle infielder

You have alot of injury risk personnel (garciapara, bonds griffey genkins) but honestly I think their upside is all worth it to me especially in a deeper than average draft.....if a decent trade offer comes offering you a more reliable healthy player - you might want to think about it - cause one or two is ok but you have more like 4 and that might be pushing it....

Thanks for your reply.

I totally agree with what you are saying. My major concern is injuries right now.Griffey,Nomar,Bonds are all risks, but I drafted them late.

So you think I should trade JR and Schowenweis eh? I never thought about having two closers, obviously Rivera is the best but there are a few guys on waivers with 20+ saves. Are they worth a pickup instead?

Jose Mesa-27 saves ,37 k ,4.76 ERA
Tyler Walker-23 saves,54 k ,4.23 era

As for stolen bases I have been looking around, and I am thinking of trying to trade for Jose Reyes.Would that be a good trade, who should I trade for him if so?

I also droped Aaron Small today.I am worried that his perfect year might be a fluke, espeacily at his age.So I picked up Matt Murton.Do you think that was an ok move?

Thanks for your help.

Being that it's a 16 team league, you won't have an all-star at every position. That being said, you have one hell of a team. Nice mix of young and old, power and speed, and you're fairly balanced with hitting and pitching. YOu sure this is your first time drafting in fantasy? ;-)

Power hitting wise, this team is very very good. Your pitching, considering that you obviously waited on it, is acceptable. However, the complete lack of speed could really hamstring you. You'll be doing well to finish tenth in that category.

Kinsler and Hermida are supposed to be pretty good stealers though arent they? I watch Adams every day,he stole 11 last year and could easily steal 20 this year.Pujols can steal too.I agree though that I have a lack of speed, but I think it's potentially there.

Hermida and Kinsler could both steal 20, but that's probably a high-end guess. I'm not even entirely sure Kinsler will start. Adams I don't watch as much as you, but he'd have to improve considerably to have any value. What are your starting positions?

This team has a lot of promise, if you get kinsler, hermida, and co. to do well, you should have a verygood team, especially in a 16 team league.
