Starting Pitching Help

I have Ted Lilly (5-6, 4.83, 1.31 whip) and Brad Penny (6-5, 4.19, 1.41)

Would you pick up any of these guys and drop Lilly or Penny?
Carlos Zambrano, CHC (6-6, 3.13, 1.33)
Jake Peavy, SD (7-5, 3.99, 1.33)
Jerome Williams, SF (2-1, 3.65, 1.38)
Aaron Heilman, NYM (0-1, 1.50, 1.33)

Beyond those 4, there's not much out there in my league. Should I make a move or stand pat with Lilly and Penny?
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

Carlos is a no-brainer. When was he dropped? I'd drop Lily first. I'd drop Penny for Vargas if he is there. I'm assuming Willis is gone, but If Carlos is there....

You sure it isn't Victor?

I'd also take Peavy over Penny at this point.

Man, you have got to go after Carlos Z! Drop Lilly, the weakest link on the A's staff.

Peavy has been pitching *very* well over his last 3 starts but he's liable to blow up at any time.

Williams is a guy I like...if you're going to pick up an SP at this stage and he's going to be inexperienced I would rather have the guy I could use at a very cozy home park like Pac Bell

Funny you should mention Williams.

Originally, I had 'Robertson' entered instead of Peavy, I had Jeriome R and Jerome W confused for a second (I'm drinkin' :-b ). When I read my post, I edited it, and put Peavy in there, since I liked him best of the rest he mentioned.

I considered changing it to Williams, but chose Peavy because he was listed, and 2 of those games were against the Mariners. He has a lot of potential. Perhaps he is going to turn it on yet, and he can get lots of K's.

;-D Jake ... Hands down. I mean he keeps racking up wins on a horrible team. As the team improves, so will Peavy. Thats scary.

Definitely grab C. Zambrano. Seems like each time out he is throwing a quality game. I have to believe the Cubs will try to acquire offensive help beyond Hernandez as the trade deadline approaches, so that will only help him.

Get Zambrano and Peavy! With regards to Peavy, the guy now has 8 wins on the worst team in the NL. If he can end up winning 15, which seems likely, that'll be one heck of an accomplishment! Really, he's only gotten hit hard on a couple of occasions. Otherwise, Peavy has been very consistent all year long. He's also risen above Lawrence as the best fantasy option in the SD staff.
