Pick 1 of these Shortstops for me

Postby Hyde » Sat Jun 28, 2003 10:40 pm

Ok, I need a new SS because Jose Hernandez didn't quit work out in Colorado like I thought he would. My league uses OBP instead of AVG. There isn't much on the waiver wire. Here is what I have to choose from.

Christian Guzman, Angel Berroa, Royce Clayton, Chris Woodward,
Barry Larkin, Ramon Vazquez or Adam Everett?

Who would I pick or should I just draw a name from a hat?

I would go with Berroa from the choices you listed, but check to see if Cintron is still available. I like him the best.

Yeah if Cintron is availiable, get him, but otherwise I'd be tempted to take Royce Clayton. I don't think any of these SS's stand out over one another, but Clayton seems to usually start off awfull then have a good second half to get his numbers to average.

Yep, I was just going to say .. Clayton always plays .300 ball in the second half. It's the only way he has been able to keep his job.

I dropped Jokay Hernandez and went with Angel Berroa. Of course Hernandez hit a HR yesterday. I'm guessing Hernandez will start hitting now.

Cintron was picked up almost 2 weeks ago in my league. I didn't go after him because he could lose some time once Councell and Spivey come back.
