Also.. for what it's worth...

The top available catchers are:

J. Buck (KC - C)
J. Estrada (Ari - C)
Y. Molina (StL - C)
B. Ausmus (Hou - C)
M. Redmond (Min - C)

Would you drop Piazza for any of them?

Keep Piazza. At least for now. If he gets hurt or tanks, make a move.

Is Wilson on the bench or a Util. guy?

You could use a bit more power, an upgrade at 2B and another closer. Tough to always do in a 20-teamer, no doubt.

It'll be competitive for a 20-team league, with no obvious strengths or terrible weaknesses compared to most. Keep an eye on the wire early on in the season as suprises emerge.

Thanks man.

At this point, I'm leaning toward Sweeney as my UTIL guy, with Wilson and Bell on the bench.

If Lidge struggles, I'm toast. He's the only Saves guy I've got.
And these pitchers combined for 5 Holds all last year.

No obvious strengths? With Crawford, Reyes, Winn, and Hunter I would call speed an obvious strength. I would guess with those four guys in a 20 team league you'll be either first or second in SB. And it looks like you will be in need of more power as the season progresses as well.

Get rid of David Bell for sure. You have lots of 3B-eligible guys, and all his numbers fell off last year. At 33, it's unlikely he'll repeat his 2004.

Keep your eye open during spring training for a FA putting up surprising power numbers. You have good speed, but you'll need HR's desperately.
