Vargas has allowed three earned runs or less in 11 of his 12 starts since being promoted from the minors on April 24. Better go get him if you can.

I picked him up a week ago, just haven't started him yet.

Very nice effort against the Jays. He probably would have done much better if I didn't pre-maturely rave about his performance after 6 scorless innings of 2 hit-no walk ball.

Excellent ERA and WHIP helper, should roll in some wins as well. Moderate K activity. Pitching in San Juan may be a concern, but he is pitchingh as well as any free agent out there.

He pitched 6 innings against the Blue Jays and allowed 2 hits, no walks or runs. In the 7th, he got in a little trouble and gave up a HR to Delgado, but it's Delgado and the Blue Jays, give the kid a break!

He got the win in 6.1 innings, 4 hits, a walk, 2 ER. He has had several nice outings in a row. One of the next big SP pick-ups, he could be quite productive.
