Yeah, he's who I think of when someone mentions Texas. I about swirved out of my lane the other day when I saw a 'Don't Mess With Texas' bumper sticker, pulled around him and IT WAS A WHITE GUY! Shocked, I was.

So false it's insane. Hank Hill is the closest to a true blue Texan of any of the characters (not that there are really that many true blue Texans left). Cu nailed it. ;-D

I always thought Boomhauer was sort of a Texas Wanna Be, he's too over the top to REALLY be from Texas. Not that I'm from Texas but I did get down there for a nice visit to Port Aransas and Austin last year and want to go back sometime...

Maybe I keep missing something when I'm there; I don't like their food at all. Plus a guy I knew who used to be a cook at Applebees advised me that they microwave or deep fry everything but the steaks.
