New draft tool - now with even more stats

Well, I had my first draft tonight, and things worked ok. It was a bit tough keeping up with a 90 sec/turn snake draft, but I managed. It was a great experience though, in that it showed me that the absolute slowest thing, and what was causing me the most "HURRY UP" moments, was reloading the page with a full listing (no or hardly any filters).

So I added a "Top 20 only" checkbox - works just like it sounds. It's much faster, and I realized that I wasn't really looking much past that anyways.

Anyways, according to Set A, I have the top team! Set B doesn't think so, but I was drafting according to Set A, so that's to be expected.

Thanks to all for helping me debug this! I've got another draft Wed, and I'll be looking for ways to speed it up further...

for some reason it appears pitchers points are being included in the total (the overall columb).. can you check on that please?

Thanks for catching that. I don't participate in points leagues, so I guess I didn't test it well enough. They should work now, but if you notice anything funny, let me know.

I've only heard from one person that's used it during the draft - is it just too slow, or is there something it's still missing?

As soon as all the drafting is over, I'll be looking at ways to use it to manage my teams during the season - can anyone think of what would be useful for that? One obvious thing is to be able to see how trades would influence both teams...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It would be so nice to be able to quickly evaluate the effects of a trade...

the points are still buggy w// the pitchers... when you add them they're totals change (for instance i was trying to figure out the gap between mariano and Krod) and when i put only those two in and update their point totals rise

I'm still assuming you selected a "points" league. I just tried it with Nathan and Rivera, and everything worked... Nathan (with simple point values) starts with 136, Rivera with 119... I add them to separate teams, and the teams "overall" points are 136 and 119.

I'll need more info...
