Added "positions taken" table

Postby MmmmBeer » Sat Mar 25, 2006 2:31 pm

I've added a table near the top that shows which positions have been filled across all teams, and how many players at each eligibility spot have been taken.

Added injury check

Postby MmmmBeer » Sat Mar 25, 2006 7:54 pm

I've added an "injury" field - just says whether the player has any injuries. Does NOT tell you what the injury is, or the time-table for return. To turn it on, the checkbox is in "general stats" next to "points".

Looking good beer. I especially like the Search Player option you added.

I have another crazy idea for you to consider if possible. Any way for you to set up the starters automatically by ranking? Something along those lines. Just a suggestion of course, as I have no idea how hard that would be.

Search player was always there...

I could assign starters like that, that would require a calculation everytime your team added a pitcher, which would drag the speed down. With everything it does now, I'm trying not to add things that require a lot of time.

changed injury display

Postby MmmmBeer » Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:18 am

I changed the injury display to just a little image next to the player's name in the big table, instead of it's own field.

Nice job.

I assume you're still updating? I noticed Taveras's points were at 0 while I was looking at my relievers.

Willy Taveras has points with both projection sets, Julian Tavares only has projections with set B. I don't do the projections myself, so if they're not included, I can't add them.

On the search a player feature, it is great to have, but I have Firefox installed and I would recommend using the search tool in Firefox to locate players. It's Much quicker, and it uses predictive typing. Predictive typing would be for example, if I was searching for 'Pujols' by the time I got to typing the letter J the search tool would have already located and highlighted Pujols.

Also, the Firefox search feature is low key, out of the way, and not intrusive like the Internet explorer search tool, which pops up in a box over the work window.

The search feature in the draft tool is good, it's just a matter if you want to wait for the page to reload every time you search.

RE: Search function

Great tip on the search feature. I don't use Firefox, but it sounds like it would be much faster (and not having to reload would be much faster)

I have my first draft tonight - wish me luck!
