I think it's definitely possible. Loretta is a line drive hitter who will benefit a lot from the green monster plus he'll be hitting 2nd in front of Manny and Ortiz. He just needs to stay healthy.
Lowell, also I think is pretty good bet to have a comeback year. His HR's declined but a move out of pro-player should help that and his BABIP was pretty low last year. Even if he can do .280-25-90 and 80+ runs, that's pretty good for a 2B.

I don't see either being top 12 let alone top 5. Wishful thinking from Beantown.
Lowell's complete collapse over the past 2 years coincides with roid testing...draw your own determination there.
Loretta hit just fine in 2004 in SD and then imploded...or more precisely went back to what he is. 2004 is looking like a fluke imo, but it would not be totally ridiculous to see him have a decent year again.
Not reasonable at all, IMO. They both could have value, but I don't see either being top 5. You could make a stronger case for them both being top 10, but I'd even doubt that.
Whichever bats second in the lineup shoudl score 100 runs easily, but aside from that, I don't really see much extra fantasy value from either. I mean, if Loretta gets his stroke back and hits 20+ HRs with a good BA, then he might crack the top 5, and if Loretta hits .330 again, he could easily get up there. I mean, even if he only hits 10 out, he could score 120+ runs hitting for that average in front of Manny and Ortiz.
But I think I'd bank on Kent, Giles, Utley, etc. first. Use your later-round picks on these two Bostonites.

I hope you mean the Boston guys and not the ones listen. Utley is #1 by far IMO. I can see both lowell and Lorretta getting better, but not much. I don't see them cracking the top 10. Lorretta has never been the same at the plate after his injury.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
