Minor league dynasty draft results

Postby ScarletP » Fri Feb 17, 2006 10:56 am

Here are the results from our recently completed minor league draft. Anyone with no more than 130 career AB or 50 career IP was elegible to be drafted. All players are automatically signed to 4 year contracts ($3 for 1st round, $2 for 2nd, $1 for all other rounds). That is why you see prospective closers drafted so high (You can get Bobby Jenks signed for 4 years for only $3/yr when most publications have him at around $20.)

I really like team#3's first 9 picks...

what's up with team #2 and only picking pitchers?!

Adam Miller in the 8th?!

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Team 3 dominated this draft. Though if I were him, I would have taken Felix Pie over Carlos Gonzalez but then again, I have no idea how Pie made it to the end of round 4 :-o

It was a snake-draft... so Team 3 got Delmon, Ian Stewart, Zumaya, Carlos Gonzales, etc.

Not sure if you were all following it as a snake or straight.

btw - I'm team 8 (Jacobs, Kinsler, Johjima, Morales, Hughes, Pelfrey, Bailey, Shealy, Martin, Kuo).

I'm guessing that's where his near future needs are -- maybe he's already stacked w/ a very good, young offense.
Just another amateur learning to paint w/ "the light of the world".
