i mean, he could, but with rocco, carl, bj, huff and possibly delmon .. i wouldnt doubt cantu hits 5th or 6th
less rbi less AB maybe less HR?
but who knows
i believe he is legit and thats why i drafted him in every league last year (my buddy hybrid taught me well)
No way Cantu is hitting 5th or 6th.. A 28 HR, 117 RBI, .300 hitter will not get bumped down there..Just as most publications and websites say, Cantu will bat 3rd with Crawford and Lugo ahead and Huff behind him helping him surpass his 05 levels.. GO w/ Cantu!
He will probably hit 3rd. The lineup should be Lugo, Crawford, CANTU, Huff, Gomes, Delmon???
If Cantu had a better eye and took a few more walks I take him, but I don't see his BB:K trend changing soon. Ensberg has the higher ceiling in the short run and is a more balanced hitter. He also hit well on the road last year, I'll take Morgan.

Another reason I'm not sold on Cantu.
For what it's worth PECOTA is a little more optimistic.
Ensberg
27 HR
.277 AVG
.366 OBP
.497 SLG
Cantu
24 HR
.272 AVG
.306 OBP
.464 SLG
The guy really needs to work on his plate discipline.
Straight up, Ensberg should out-perform Cantu... but as was mentioned, the 2B eligibility gives Cantu a huge edge, value-wise. Plus, I'm not real comfortable with that Houston lineup.

WTF?
You're not comfortable?
I think the 06 Astros' team is better than last season's in terms of hitting..

If Berkman gets hurt that lineup is anemic.
Straight up I take Ensberg, if you can put Cantu at 2B its pretty much even.

I don't. But I suppose it can't get much worse.

Well, my little league team from 10 years ago was better than last season's astros in terms of hitting, so I don't think that comparisson is very useful.
However, the Astros will have Lance Berkman back for all of next year, and that alone should give them a pretty serious "shot in the arm".
