I've been searching for the thread which lists many good reasons to reverse the order for the re-draft amongst the bottom few teams in keeper leagues and can't find it. Can anyone list the main reasons to do so or post the thread link?
Example: in a 12 team h2h keeper, the team with the 9th best record (assuming an 8 team playoff) gets the first pick in the re-draft. This is done to prevent the dropping of quality players for prospects of next year, among other reasons.

We do something similar to this in our fantasy football league (a keeper league). Basically a 'B' playoff is held during the playoff weeks to reward teams that perform well there with better draft position. We went in this direction b/c it became clear after a while that teams finishing at the bottom were usually the most disinterested/AWOL teams, and they shouldn't be rewarded for their futility with top draft positions the following year. This system has been pretty useful in rewarding teams that play hard in the league year-in-year-out, but sometimes just fall short of the playoffs..

You've got a diamond, You've got nine men
You've got a hat and a bat, And that's not all..
