Where are the M's Fans At???

Postby BGbootha » Thu Feb 16, 2006 5:26 pm

If you go over to the football side of things, the seattle seahawks forum has been the most active by far for the past few years. Where's the love for the M's at? This is just sad.

I will represent.
But they will have to wait until the zags get beat.
Next stop Oakland to meet with UCLA.
Not one of my fantasy players is a Mariner.
Makes for interesting game day viewing

Well I'm here but I don't think we have a lot to talk about. I pray I'm wrong. I'll be in town visiting from NC in early April for my 20-team mixed auction and I'll catch the game on Friday the 7th.

I think our division is just too darn tough this year. Just seems like we're going to need more SP to compete, and Beltre needs to turn it around bad.

Present and accounted for. ;-D

The location says Phoenix, but the heart is with Seattle sports teams. ;-D

What we need most is a new GM.

Not only am I here, I'm actually from Washington ... though if I weren't I don't know why I'd be following the Mariners this year ...

Being an M's fan has gotten pretty ugly these last few years ... judging by this weekend's series they need to say away from the A's starting pitching if they want to keep themselves in the wins column. I'm with Big Pimpin, a new GM would be a big step in the right direction. Anyone who signs Carl Everett needs to be looking for a new career path ...

I don't usually get this far down the board, but I might start if there were actually some topics here ...

The fan base, and the talent, has went down, ever since Piniella and Gillick left. I'm not a Bavasi or Hargrove fan. The team needs to rebuild like Milwaukee and Cleveland, lots of great young players to build around. There's not much to build around here, Felix and Lopez. By the time the team might get good, Ichiro, Sexson, Guardado, will all be in their decline years. Losing Griffey for Cameron hurt. Losing Arod for draft picks hurt. Losing RJ, for basically Garcia/Guillen, then trading both for nothing hurt. Refusing to move Ryan Anderson when he was the #1 pitching prospect hurt. It's going to be a long road back. I thought this team could go .500, but i'm doubting that after 2 weeks. Buhner and Edgar, where have you gone?
