I'm in 4th place right now and holding, but I'm not gaining any ground or building a lead! There are some guys on waivers right now I am considering to give me the extra punch....Shannon Stewart, Jeff DaVanon, Rocco Baldelli, Claudio Vargas, Josh Beckett, and Paul Byrd. Are any of these guys worth it? How does this team look right now? Thanks in advance for your help ;-D

i'm guessing your pitching, mainly starting pitching hasnt been just real great.i would trade a second basement, either durham or giles for a SP. or if you wanted to, you could try to deal beltran. hes having a good year, you might be able to get a real good starting pitcher for him. or, if you wanted to go real big, and were afraid about the loss in production in the OF you could try to deal Beltran/Giles for a solid OF/SP. i'd give it a try. on the freeagent wire, if you cant pull a trade for SP, take a risk on Byrd. chances he'll produce are fairly low, but you might get lucky.

I agree: improve your SP by trading either Giles, Durham, or even Aramis Ramirez.

Hey Dazey,

thats a pretty good looking team you got there...The two things I would try to do is move Giles/Rueter for an upgrade at SP and then try to move Lilly/Ortiz for a closer. This will upgrade your weakness and clear up roster room to search the waivers for hot hitters...good luck.... ;-D
