Kd9 is pretty useful.
K/BB I am not really that impressed by. I rather use WHIP in conjunction with Kd9.

In what sense: for scouting players or for categories to play with?
For determining a players worth, I use them both and find it very useful.
For league categories I'm a bit hesitant. The reason being is I don't like leagues where there are more qualitative then quanitative stats. If that is the case, I think you invite people to play beyond the spirt of the game where they may just start a few pitchers to maintain their low ratios.

You can use quantative stats as long as there are minimums on IP's or AB's. The only problem is that it increases the gap between starters and relievers since starters will have 2-3 times more IP so their k/9 will carry more weight.
