Yes, Great Signing... better than I thought... 1 year, 8.5 mil makes a lot of sense.

Now we have a chance at Manny... Although it is still unlikely.

Our pitching staff is now so much better... Carrasco in the pen makes a lot of sense. Our rotation is rock solid, our pen is just filthy... now we just need Kotchman and Rivera to come around offensively and we're in business.

Let's Go Angels!!!

Carrasco was never our 5th starter. I don't knwo why everyone thinks he was slated to be it. His contracts language was specifically worded in a way that made it look like he was signed to be a reliever.

Saunders or lil Weaver was going to be the 5th starter.

I am telling you what you read is wrong. I read an article about his contract was specifically written to provide incentives if he started so many games, but that it had a lot of language in it saying, he will be given the chance to compete for the job.

When he was signed everyone assumed he was signed to be a starter, which became the misconception.

i read it multiple times...from multiple different sources saying that he was the 5th starter at the beginning of spring training(before weaver got signed)...probably until they made another acquisition...

this is just one of the places that said he was the starter before weaver got signed...

http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... m=&id=1904

later down the road...yea saunders or jared would probably start...but at the beginnin of the season...it was goin to be carrasco
