Where do you take Wright/Bay/Cabrera in a keeper?

Postby RynMan » Wed Feb 15, 2006 4:04 am

Where do you guys rank these guys in a keeper league? Who do you take before them?

A-Rod
Pujols
Teixeira

For me those are the only slam dunks.....is there anyone else you would take over those 3 guys in a keeper league?

I would take Cabrera 3rd in a keeper, without a second thought. To be honest, i would take Wright over Tex as well.

Pujols
Arod
Cabrera
Wright
Vlad
Tex
Bay

I like that list, but I might consider Crawford above Bay... three years younger and all.

Any reasoning for the hate on Tex? I can understand Cabrera because a lot of people think he can put up Pujols-type numbers, but Wright is closer to Utley than he is to surpassing Tex.

Wow Tex is not even in my top 5 picks for a keeper league. The away stats scare me especially with his free agency coming up in a few years. The top 4 are pretty easy imo. The top 2 are interchangeable depending on your personal preference, and 3rd and 4th are interchangeable depending on if you prefer the young player or the prime age veteran.

My top 5 keeper picks

Pujols
Arod
Vlad
Mcab

Wright/ Santana -- If h2h, I will take Wright, but if roto, I will take Santana. After these 2, then I will be looking at Tex, Crawford, Manny, and Bay.

Wright's first full season was better than Teixeira's first full season. And he did it in a pitcher's park and he was a year younger. Add speed to the package and position, it's a no-brainer for me.
