Pretend you are the GM of a MLB franchise. The idea is not to go out and buy a bunch of MVPs like the New York Yankees, but to build for the future. This idea is for this to be realistic. Starting from scratch, take in account salary, age, ect. to field your dream team.

Tried to get a variety of ages and salaries; mostly younger to young-ish guys and guys who I think are perhaps undervalued in real baseball.......Really tried to construct it from the point of view of a GM. As much as that's possible. I listed my position players in what I would consider close to my ideal batting order. Thinking about switching Utley and Wright to mix up the lefty/righty thing a bit more.

Yeah, ya know I thought so too. But when I got into it, it only took me about ten minutes or so. Not sure if that's a selling point or a sign that I rushed too quickly, but what the heck......

They're all (relatively) cheap, they're all good, and when someone is ready for a big payday you can deal them for the top prospects around.
you seemed to have just made an all star team. in 2 years your team will cost 300 million. mix in some more good young players that arent superstars already like kubel, overbay, jenks, upton, and brian mccann to replace cabrera, pujols, lidge, reyes, and v-mart, and al reyes and francisco liriano to replace peavy and sheets. making the new and more appropriate team:
