Temp at 3B----Valentin or Mueller

Postby nsulham » Sat Jun 28, 2003 9:14 am

Hey guys, I'm going to pick up a temporary 3B sub for Glaus until he warms up and Valentin and Mueller appear to be the best of the lot. Mueller's in a loaded lineup that scores at will and Valentin is starting to heat up with the rest of the White Sox so I'm 50's on this one. Thoughts?

I know Glaus is struggling, but he's also the type of player who could wake up at any moment and hit 2 or 3 home runs with 5 or 6 rbi in one game. I'd be very hesitant to bench him. But if you are at the end of your rope with him, I'd pick up Mueller.

Stick with Glaus, no reason to scrape the bottom of the production barrell at 3B.

I just traded for Glaus so I hope that he wakes up soon. I now have Blalock, Glaus, Crede, and Teixeira with third base eligibility and am in a big 18 team league. If Crede can start producing, then I should have some nice trade flexibility heading into the second half of the season. He's been showing some progress lately since his old minor league hitting coach was brought up to Chicago and might be worth a look for you.
