hey this is going to be my first year as a commish for my baseball league and i wanted to see if you guys had any advice for me, like what categories to use.... it's going to be a 10 team H2H Yahoo! league. what are the best categories to use in H2H? and any other advice would be appreciated

Depends on the level/experience of the players. Basic would be 4x4 (hr, rbi, sb, ave, wins, era, whip, saves) or you could go 5x5 and add runs scored and k's. Really it is up to what everyone is comfortable with.

Standard 5x5 is the best way to go. I have played in several leagues that replace WHIP with holds, and I've been happy with that, as well.
Also consider going with weekly locked rosters. I won't get much support for it around here, but I'm a big fan of it for H2H. Reduces pitcher turnover and adds another element of strategy when making decisions for the week. It's also nice if the members of your league are too busy to check it every day. Although, everyone in my weekly updater still checks the league everyday!

Yeah, I agree with the posts above, but I never liked era and whip together, because it just seems like extra credit. If you have a good era, you will most likely have a good whip. I like replacing whip with holds or the like, something that ad's players.....
