1400 is the number we use. 5 SPs x 200 innings = 1000 plus the other 400 for your RPs and in case your SPs pitch over 200 innnings.

does that work out good for your league? yahoos default is 1250, but I dont want to set the limit too high or too low. 1400 seems like a pretty good number.

We originally had 1250 a few years ago but it was too low. You want to combat streaming, but you want to at least have the full production of 5 starters. If your 5 starters average over 200 innings, you are in trouble. Plus, your closers will get 50-70 innings each.

Anyways, we moved from 1250 to 1350 to 1400, where we have stayed.

Oh yeah, our league is based on 2 SP, 2 RP and 3 Ps. So, obviously the closers are in at all times and usually a 5-man staff is rotated in and out.

Imho you can't go wrong setting it anywhere between 1250 and 1350. vr, Xei

A SP will get 200 inn, a RP will get about 60. So 5 starters and 4 RPs gives you the Yahoo 1250 or so. I would not go higher than 1300 IMO......
