Yahoo only has him as a DH. Anyone know if he'll qualify early in the season?

Only takes 5 games... but it may take a while.

did he play any games at 1B last year? On that topic is there a resource available that breaks down the # of games played at various positions?

Rotoworld keeps tabs during the season.

Right on Yahoo! Just check the career stats on a player page and you'll get a breakdown.

He played exactly one game at 1B last season, although I suspect that had he not missed 25 or so games with injury, he might have played 1B during all interleague road games. He is just too huge of a bat to take out of the line-up, regardless of his defensive deficiencies. So my guess is that once IL play starts, he will see a lot of 1B AB's.

My league requires that a player play 10 games at a position. Do you see Hafner doing this? I think he is available, but I want the flexibility. He's a stud, but I have a DH/1B by the name of Ortiz already. I want the 1B eligibility.
Expos... Gone, but not forgotten.

He will NOT in my opinion. Yahoo needs 5 starts or 10 appearances. He had a bad elbow that apparently prevented him from playing first in 2005. Given Ben's struggles at 1B last year, I don't buy it completely. I think he is apparently a defensive liability at 1B. Otherwise he'd play 1B even on a limited basis. Even two years ago he only had 10 games at 1B and I don't know if that was 10 starts. I think V Mart will end up at 1B before Hanfer! Could happen! Do not pick him if you are hoping for a 1B. You MAY get lucky and he'll qualify later this summer, but if there was any chance of him playing 1B more than once in a blue moon, the Tribe would have jumped on it earlier......
